On Wednesday 22nd May 2017, local Conservative candidate Myles Stacey attended the Education Question Time event in Tottenham, with Parliamentary candidates from other parties and other panellists.
Myles express his enjoyment at meeting Tottenham's hardworking teachers and parents, and at putting forward to Conservative case for education.
He answered questions on a range of topics, including school budgets, enhancing support for pupils with special educational needs and disabilities, improving the provision of free school meals including Conservative plans for free breakfasts, and increasing recruitment and retention of our fantastic teachers here in Tottenham.
We would like to thank Haringey Parents for staging the event, and Earlsmead Primary School for hosting. Our thanks also go to the Parliamentary candidates from other political parties, Hina Shah (Headteacher of Earlsmead), and Sarah Williams (local parent and co-organiser of Haringey Parents), for being on the panel.
The Tottenham Conservatives team noted that Tottenham was as lively as ever at a hustings, just the way we like it! Democracy is alive and well in our community.
